Re: Frequent disconnect on iOS devices
I installed the latest version of SmartFoxServer. Using the latest iOS SDK as well. Still getting frequent disconnects. No one else is observing this problem? Also with the new version of SFS, when I get the client connection retry event, I see this in the log at the same time. Kind of does not make...

Re: Latest Smartfox/Jetty Jasper exception?!
I also found a solution on the web that does not require JDK install. Just add this inside the Configure block to jetty.xml <!-- =========================================================== --> <!-- To use the ecj compiler $JETTY_HOME/lib/jsp --> <!-- =================================================...

Latest Smartfox/Jetty Jasper exception?!
When hitting a JSP I get this: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: PWC6345: There is an error in invoking javac. A full JDK (not just JRE) is required So I have to install java sdk somewhere on my server? This was not necessary in the previous Smartfox version and not mentioned in the installation in...

Re: Frequent disconnect on iPhone 7
Hi Lapo The server is remote, but there are at most two users logged in. One is me via iOS and one is me via Android. I increased the reconnection time to 15 seconds and still get onConnectionLost for iOS devices, but my Android devices never get disconnected at all. Im thinking it could be a iOS cl...

Re: Frequent disconnect on iPhone 7
i did some more testing. it happens on a clean start of SFS2X, a clean start of my app client, after a disconnect, after a reconnection, bringing my app to the foreground... Any combination. Also, it is not happening due to timeouts, because I see the pings on the server log every 4 minutes (set to ...

Re: Frequent disconnect on iPhone 7
Hi Lapo
Yes I am using home wifi, so the signal should be very strong.
With my Android device, this never happens. With my iOS devices (iPhone 7, iPad 1) this happens.
I am using the latest Objective C Api (downloaded a few days ago), and my reconnection timeframe set in my zone is 5 seconds

Re: SFS2X Jetty not using cache
Lapo
Thanks for your help. Long nights of SFS2X server programming have left me void of any logical deduction.
The browser request in safari has a no-cache pragma argument.
So it is not a SFS2x or Jetty Issue.

Re: Frequent disconnect on iPhone 7
This is very odd
From my iPad 1 (iOS 5.1) I also got the frequent disconnect but I do see the correct IP for my computer
Btw this is all on wifi and my Android device seems to be running ok with no disconnect.

Frequent disconnect on iOS devices
The problem I have been having with the iOS API on my iPhone 7 is that I lose connection frequently. Definitely nothing to do with the idle time, because I send a ping quite often, and I have also seen a disconnect happen a few seconds after a successful connection. The auto reconnect never seems to...

Re: Sequence of onConnectionRetry and onConnectionLost
Sorry, Lapo. You are right, "At the same time" is incorrect. It would be more appropriate to say that I saw an occurrence where onConnectionRetry was called, onConnectionLost was called, and then onConnectionResume was called. Actually looking at my records now, I see this occurred with th...

Sequence of onConnectionRetry and onConnectionLost
According to the docs, once a disconnect happens, onConnectionRetry gets fired. If the reconnect fails, then onConnectionLost occurs.
In my experience with the iOS, and Java API's, onConnectionRetry and onConnectionLost happens at the same time.
Am I doing something wrong in initializing the API?

SFS2X Jetty not using cache
My configuration Jetty is running on IP ending in .76, port 8080 for standard HTTP and 8443 for SSL SFS2X is running on on the IP ending in .76, port 80 I have a few virtual hosts set up. IP ending in .75 is what maps to my www website domain. I have ProxyPass set up so that calls to to Apache on .7...

Re: Big probems. Inconsistent connection issues
What does it mean that it occurs less frequently with a normal user? You mean a non-mobile client? normal user meaning a user with 10-20 in his buddy list. with the 1000+ temp buddies in buddy list, i run into this issue probably 4/5 times. i am definitely not sending too much data between the exte...
