Limbo Room?

Postby willf » 01 May 2010, 19:02

Hi all, I am new to SFS and have a few questions regarding rooms.

i am writing a game that has very little user interaction at the moment. So my first question is.

1. Does a user need to be in a room to be able to send and receive messages from the server? (say for instance... i was writing a chess game that a user could play against a bot or something.. would this user still need to be part of a room to interact with my extensions?)

2. If Yes, then can a limbo room handle tens of thousands of users in the same room?

1. Yes, users should always get room list and then join a room before doing anything else. sendXtMessages() now requires you to join a room before using it (you can however override this via client API)
