How to do an Update Loop with SFS Extensions?
I have been asking around in my quest to create a extremely simple networked game using the Unity3d game engine. The game I had in mind was Pong and my major question still lies in how to do the ball simulation on the server. If the game is running completely on the server (clients are just spectators really) then how do I have an "Update" loop on the server? As to update the ball position every call?

Short question that takes a very long answer.
We have discussed these topics all over the board many times, there are several approaches each with its pros and cons.
Unfortunately due to the complexity of the subject I am not able to provide any quick answer to your question but I would suggest to perform a couple of searches in the board and see what we already said.
ThomasLund posted an interesting overview of the synchronization/prediction issues with some nice tips in this very section of the forums.
One day we should probably consolidate all these posts into one major discussion...
