Is it possible to use the software to do a remake of an old game?
I recently discovered an old atelier801 game called poisson, I have all the server files that were made available on the internet a couple of years ago the issue is that in the game there is neither a registration nor a login system.
The main question is whether it is possible to use smartfox to adapt the game or not?
What if it's like doing it?
Remembering that by no means would I want to infringe copyrights or exploit another's creations, I just want to do it from my personal project and play with few friends.

besides the copyright issue, was the old game already based on SmartFoxServer?
If not then you will have to rewrite the multiplayer code to make it work using the SmartFoxServer API.
