BlueBox Ports

Postby amateur » 12 Jun 2017, 07:29

Hi, using SmartFox Server 2.13 successfully with a Unity application.

I have a question about BlueBox, which automagically steps in when port 9933 doesn't connect. We only use secure connections. Despite setting the HTTPS port in the client and server, BlueBox only ever connects on Port 80 and doesn't use 8443 at all.

Is there a way to get BlueBox to use 8443 instead of 80?
Is the traffic still encrypted despite using the non-HTTPS port?

Finally, is there a way to enable the BlueBox without also running the web server as I don't use the remote admin tool.

Thank you.

Hi,
BlueBox is fully secure when the protocol encryption is engaged.

What happens is that the protocol is already encrypted before the packets are tunneled to HTTP, so it doesn't matter what ports it is using. It's already secure.

Hope it helps
