AOI Issues

Postby barant2003 » 15 Aug 2017, 19:12

Hello Hello,

When I enter a players AOI the camera tends to focus on that player, no matter what client I am on.

Is there an explanation for this, or is there a fix for it? Thanks.

Hi,
It is not clear what you're referring to exactly? If you check the demos we provide in our example packages you will see that every client sees the "world" from his perspective.

I would strongly recommend to start from there and learn how they work.

Correct the camera and everything will actually work on the character, just when I enter into the other persons AOI. The Camera tends to focus upon the other character, its not an issue of following examples.

Me walking along enters other AOI --> Camera focuses on that character within the AOI and does not follow my character anymore until I leave that AOI.

I suppose you have a bug in your PROXIMITY_LIST_UPDATE event listener.
Maybe it is just a matter of GameObject ID in the scene? If all the object you create have the same name, there's a chance that the camera follows the last one you created.
