unrecognized selector +[NSStream getStreamsToHostNamed:...

Postby uncleunvoid » 16 May 2012, 16:34

This seems to be a common problem, yet the answers I found all wont work.

The Tris project, I copied framework and code from, does not seem to differ from my project, where I added everything according to the Tris code.

It actually instantiates the client class and loads the config all fine.

It kicks the bucket when calling connect.

The Tris project does connect or at least tries to (even if the server is not there).

I did another test where I literally copied all classes and code into a separate new project and it still showed the error.

Whats the difference here that causes the error?

So I got the code to work in another project, by copying all my code into a duplicate of the Tris project. This means there is something in the project setup that I am missing.

This still means I would like to know how to properly use the framework/code in working condition in my own projects.

Anyone can shine some light on this issue?

Have you been through the detailed setup documentation?
http://docs2x.smartfoxserver.com/Gettin ... -api-setup

Make sure you've got the appropriate frameworks and Linker Flags.

The link flags fixed it for me. Those should be -lz -ObjC
