Hi,
Event Type "PING_PONG", Then at local ping showing 2.5 but at the live server it is showing near to 500 and on avg 428.
Is this network issue or client side code issue or server side issue?
High latency when playing a game
Re: High latency when playing a game
Hi,
it's a network issue.
It is likely that the server is located pretty very far away from you're connecting from.
Normal values should range between 40-120ms, at least for a smooth gaming experience, especially for realtime games.
Cheers

Well that explains a lot!
The network packets are traveling thousands of miles across the world and it takes time, even at the speed of light (minus the physical resistance, analog/digital processing times etc...)
cheers

So, the solution is to test with a server that is closer to your location. When you launch your application use a server (or servers) close to your customers.
