How to activate BlueBox

Postby sankarganesh86 » 20 Mar 2013, 05:58

Hi,

We bought 100 user license for (SFS 1.6) server , But some time some user face some difficulty to connect the socket server port (9339), So we change that port to 80 port (http) because any firewall didn't block this port and we disable to bluebox in sfs because of the slow connection , But still some users face difficult to establish the connection , So we plan to enable the Bluebox.

My question is if we enable the bluebox it default run in 80(http) port only , already we use that port for socket connection , we need to change that sfs socket port ?

We need to buy bluebox license separately for (SFS 1.6) ? if yes please provide the procedure to activate the license ...

Hello,

Sorry for the delay.
BlueBox is a feature which comes with SmartFoxServer, no need to buy another license :)
If you want to run BlueBox on port 80, you have to change the socket connection to a different port, yes.
What you can do is use BlueBox, for example, on port 80 and then run listen to the sockets on port 21 (FTP).

Cheers
