Image quality

Postby juancarlos » 14 Nov 2008, 09:39

Hello.
I have implemented some videoconference applications, but I'm seeing that the quality of the image is not too good.
Is there any way to improve it, even if this implies sending more data?
Is there any quality or data rate parameter?

Thank you.

Check the flash.media.Camera class methods: you can change the quality settings.

I have already studied the Camera methods.
I see the "quality" parameter and it works.
quality=100 is the maximum allowed and it does improve the quality of the transmission.

My doubt is: Does SmartFoxServer affect in any sense the quality of the transmission? In other words, "quality" Camera parameter is the only way to modify the quality of the transmission, in the sense that what my camera gets is what SFS sends?

Thank you again

Yes. The RedBox API do not change the quality.
