Smartfox 2x version: 2.16.3
Client Tech: Unity 2019
Good afternoon,
We have been interested in applying flood protection to our server. Of course, Smartfox2x most definitly has one for zones and that was the first thing we tried. In our experience the mechanism certainly bans users when the absolute number of messages has been reached, but disregards the rate of those messages. Is there anything we can do to factor in that rate before resulting in a ban? If not, is there an anti-flooding tool that would work best with smartfox? Perhaps we are missing a step in our setup? Any insight would be grealty appreciated.
Thank you!

Re: Zone Flood Protection Rate
Hi,
It's not an absolute number of messages, it's a number of requests per second.
The Flood Filter allows to configure a specific number of requests/sec for a number of different requests, such as JoinRoom or SetRoomVariables, Public/Private messages etc.
If you go in the AdminTool > Zone Configurator and choose one of your Zones, you can define these filters under the Flood Filter tab, where you can add each request and the rate-per-second you want to use.
Hope it helps
