smart fox connection http-monitoring using BlueBox

Hi,

my smart fox used to go down each once in a while. The monitoring tool that the admins use uses an http url and determines if a server is down or not according to the returned result.

Can I rely on Bluebox url shown below to monitor smart fox connection? (knowing if smart fox is down or not)
http://***.***.**.**:8080/BlueBox/HttpBox.do

Also that blue box url worked while testing locally, but when I put the live ip in the url, it doesnt work even when the server is running. Any idea why?
