We have just released SmartFoxServer 2X 2.19.0, which introduces Extension Flood Filters to limit the number of Extension calls on a per-request basis. The release comes also with updated Tomcat (websocket/BlueBox), updated GeoIP database and a host of bug fixes.
Please note: the new release comes as a standalone installer so it can’t be used to update a previous instance.

For those interested in running multiple SFS2X instances on the same machine we have a short guide on how to setup each server correctly avoiding port conflicts.
In particular since SFS2X 2.14 we have switched from Jetty to Tomcat for the HTTP-related services and our previous article on the same topic no longer applies.
The launch of SmartFoxServer 2.14 is particularly significant for all the web-related services, in particular Websockets and BlueBox. This was an area where we were still looking for performance improvements but we were mostly dependent on the underlying dependency used for this service, namely Jetty.
